This 10-inch Jumbo Cartridge utilizes cation exchange to prevent scale build-up in water when heated or cooled.
It can be paired with activated carbon cartridges to enhance taste and filter out chemicals. With a cation reduction rating of 38,500 ppm (mg/l), it can be regenerated using salt but is typically replaced once it reaches capacity. To determine the cartridge's lifespan in liters, divide 7500 by the known hardness.
Fits 10 inch Jumbo filter Housings.
Please Note that it does not remove chlorine, so it should be used alongside a carbon cartridge if chlorine removal is desired.
For optimal performance and longer lifespan, use a carbon cartridge before the softening resin.
